CJP Petition — Sack Dharmendra Pradhan
NEET Paper Leak Petition & Jantar Mantar Protest
The Cockroach Janta Party launched a high-profile petition campaign demanding Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan's resignation over the NEET-U paper leak — one of India's largest examination scandals affecting 2.28 million medical aspirants. The petition is backed by the historic Sansad Chalo march from Jantar Mantar, where CJP protesters have been camping for weeks demanding systemic reform.
Sonam Wangchuk's Hunger Strike at Jantar Mantar
Climate activist and Ramon Magsaysay awardee Sonam Wangchuk began an indefinite hunger strike at the Jantar Mantar protest site on June 28, 2026, in support of CJP's demand for Dharmendra Pradhan's resignation. On day 21 of his fast, police forcibly moved him to Safdarjung Hospital. Wangchuk lost over 9 kg on salt water alone. His wife Gitanjali Angmo led the Sansad Chalo march in his place on July 20. The hunger strike has become the moral core of the movement, drawing support from Bollywood stars, opposition leaders, and global media.
Three Demands of the Sansad Chalo March
- 1. Immediate resignation or sacking of Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan over the NEET-UG paper leak and CBSE examination irregularities
- 2. Release of Sonam Wangchuk from forced hospitalisation with no restriction on his peaceful protest
- 3. Rs 1 crore compensation for families of students who died by suicide following the NEET paper leak scandal
CJP representatives Saurav Das and Ashutosh Ranka presented these demands to Union Health Minister JP Nadda on July 20. The government has acknowledged the demands but made no firm commitments.
How to Support the Petition & Protest
Supporting the petition is simple: use #MainBhiCockroach to amplify the message on social media, share CJP's demands, and spread awareness about the Jantar Mantar protest and Sonam Wangchuk's hunger strike. Every share adds pressure on the government. CJP's strategy is built on the power of the swarm — millions of small actions adding up to an unstoppable force for education reform.
